In 2025, On the Road of Recovery is offering a newsponsorship opportunity to fund an exciting spinoff series Recovery Beyond the RV: Defining Moments. If we’ve learned anything over the last four years, it’s that partnerships and collaborations are an integral part of growing a thriving recovery community. We’re calling upon partners we’ve met from across the state to help us expand our scopeand continue our mission to inspire hope, reduce stigma and humanize addiction one story at a time.
This new spinoff series will feature documentary-style films that go in-depth into the recovery stories of individuals representing different areas of the state. The documentaries will call attention to a defining moment in the individuals’ recovery journeys. For example, one may highlight the role that criminal justice involvement can play, like in drug court programs or intervention in lieu of conviction. Judges, parole officers and others who impacted the individual’s recovery journey would be interviewed in the documentary in addition to the individual’s family and support system. Some other defining moments highlighted in the series could include the role of harm reduction, linkages to care, recovery supports, continuum of care, family involvement and spirituality.
